As part of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), an event titled “Digital Shield for Biodiversity: Rethinking Environmental Oversight in Armenia” was held at the Armenia National Pavilion at the initiative of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of Armenia.

The event highlighted Armenia’s experience in applying digital technologies to environmental oversight and their role in biodiversity conservation, environmental risk assessment, and the prevention of environmental violations.

The event aimed to showcase Armenia’s efforts to modernize environmental oversight and foster international cooperation in the use of digital technologies for biodiversity conservation.
