On November 10, 2025, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body received a report regarding the contamination of a water source in the Vayots Dzor region. Following the report, administrative proceedings were initiated.

Within the framework of the proceedings, the following actions were carried out:

• Site inspection using unmanned digital systems.
• Collection of water samples from the contaminated water source, nearby water sources, and streams for laboratory analysis.
• Collection of soil samples.

It was determined that between November 1 and 8, 2025, “STROYMONTAGE” LLC carried out earthworks for the construction of an underground trench 20 meters away from the water source for the purpose of laying electrical cables. During these works, the flow of the water source was disrupted, and a clay-sand mixture was used during the trench backfilling process, resulting in contamination of the water flowing from the source.

Water samples from nearby sources and streams showed no signs of contamination.

The company’s director has been held administratively liable under Article 61, Part 1 of the RA Code on Administrative Offenses for violating water resource protection regulations.
