On September 29, at around 1:25 p.m., the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia received an alert from the 112 Emergency Operations Centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding a bird of prey found by a citizen in a weakened condition in the area known as the Noravank crossroads in Vayots Dzor Province.

Inspectors immediately travelled to the scene, where they found a wild Griffon Vulture, a species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Armenia, which was unable to fly.

No visible injuries were detected during the external examination of the bird.

At around 6:00 p.m. on the same day, the Inspection Body's staff transferred the bird to the Rehabilitation Clinic of the Yerevan Zoo to ensure proper care and rehabilitation.
