On the sidelines of the 17th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), I met with David Morrison, Executive Director of the Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF), in the official Blue Zone at the Meridian Expo Center.

The key topics discussed included:

- Biodiversity conservation in Armenia and strengthening oversight of specially protected nature areas;
- Modernization of the Inspection Body’s oversight mechanisms and development of its technical capacities;
- Joint efforts to prevent environmental violations.

I highly value CNF’s longstanding support for Armenia’s environmental sector. Mr. Morrison reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to continuing and expanding its support for initiatives aimed at conserving our natural ecosystems.
