During supervisory activities carried out by the employees of the Environmental Protection and Subsoil Inspection Body, a case of illegal deep-well drilling was detected.

“PION” LLC, operating in the village of Alapars in the Kotayk region, was drilling a deep well on its premises for irrigating its greenhouse facilities without the required water-use permit. Inspectors stopped the illegal drilling and sealed the drilling equipment.

The company’s director has been held administratively liable and fined 2,000,000 AMD.
