During preventive measures conducted in Armavir Province, inspectors from the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB) detected an illegal sand extraction operation in the administrative territory of Apaga village, Araks community.

The unauthorized extraction of mineral resources using heavy machinery was immediately halted.

The equipment and truck involved have been seized and transferred to the protected area of the EPMIB’s Armavir regional division.

A report on the alleged offense has been submitted to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
