The COP17 platform offers an important opportunity to advance key agenda items through engagement with regional partners and leading international organizations.
Today, an extensive regional discussion took place with partners from Central Asian countries and Georgia. The discussion was organized by partners of TRAFFIC, a leading international organization specializing in monitoring wildlife trade.
This was followed by a separate meeting with Anastasia Timoshina, TRAFFIC’s Regional Director for Europe.
We reached an agreement to organize specialized training sessions and experience-sharing activities for inspectors of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, with the support of TRAFFIC experts.
International cooperation and the introduction of new digital tools are among the key pillars of our Inspection Body’s modernization efforts.
